These text books are kind of cool. Some of them talk when you open them and junk, it’s rad. I wonder if this is the kind of stuff that dad used to learn magic or if he just learned purely from that creepo that lives in my closet? Oh well, whatever. I think this stuff is pretty neat so far, at least nothing has been too demanding just yet, but I imagine it will be. Didn’t dad rant about how taxing things like magic were all the time back home? Whatever.
I got a letter from mom and OutRider over the weekend. Or well, I assume it was from mom ad she added that guy’s name to it just in case dad somehow finds out about… You know, my parents are juvenile sometimes, really.
Hey Dean, how are your classes going? I know it’s only been a few days, but still. You probably have something weird interesting to say about them, I’m sure.

There’s only so much texting to friends that one can do before they get super bored and have to actually look into making friends around here. Hopefully none that have the last name ‘Venture’. [deleted] At least nothing weird’s happened just yet, I wonder if we have Brock to thank for that or if this place is just more normal than he originally thought? Hell knows, I guess we’ll figure it out as time goes on but whatever.
I guess I just would prefer to have the school year started already, I mean, at least then there might be something to do and there would be loads of people to talk to in class or whatever. I can only bug Kim so much before she decides she might actually take up that weird chick’s offer and become a villainess and probably start arching me for texting her all the time.
Guess I should look for someone to hang out with. Or at least somewhere to hang out at.

Oh, gross.
‘Daddy’s Pumpkin’ as a login name, really dad? How did he even get permission to be the one that picks my login name anyway? Yeah, this is just great — just what I wanted. How did he ever know? I guess that’s just his way of being close while being far away. But then again he could just project himself or whatever for that.
Or maybe call like a normal human being. But for him that might be asking a bit much.
Right, whatever! So now I’m here for the summer to… What? Just chill out and do nothing until the next class session? Probably wasn’t dad’s smoothest hour to enroll me so late in the year, but what the hey, at least it’s like a summer away from home or what have you. Good enough for me, at least this might mean the crazy is gone. That I can always live without.
I think I’ve spent enough time lounging around this student union place, I think I’m going to attempt to find uh… Anemone North, was it? Yeah, that’s what it says here on my papers. I’ll go do that so I can unpack.
